I got into the NYC 1/2 Marathon. It is August 5th.
I am excited, but worried my leg will still be physically retarded.

Negative Thinking helps right?

I was home for the weekend at my moms. Pollen was EVERYWHERE. If you shook a tree branch, a puff of green came off of it. It was also humid as wet shit in a oven of water fire.

Healthy Kidney 10K - Central Park

My goal was to run under a 9 minute pace, and not push it too hard, I wanted my IT to last. I was feeling good through mile 5, then somewhere during the last 1.2 miles, my IT started acting up. I started to change my run a bit, really pushing off with my big toe, that seemed to help, but I tired easily.
I finally hit the finish, but not strong, much slower than I started. I grabbed a bag of ice, and sat on a rock for about 20 minutes icing my sadness.

I accidentally ended a workout on my Nike+ because my sweaty hands.
So two workouts were recorded instead of one. I definitley felt slower this morning, but somehow Lance Armstrong congratulated me at the end of my first workout for running my fastest mile so far (8:51).

My IT Band was acting up again. My own fault, I have not been doing my home therapy, I've just been running. I also caught a bug, so instead of running this morning, I shat my brains out, went to work for a few hours to get the essentials done, returned home and took a 5 hour nap. It is 1am now, time for bed again, I hope I can wake up and go for a short run if anything.

Marathon training should start in 2 weeks, I hope I can do it.
